About
To be a problem solver you must first learn be a problem finder by learning to see a situation as a whole and without bias. I completed a graduate certificate in 3D animation as wellconsecutively completing two bachelors of honors degrees at the University of Waterloo; (BA) Bachelor of Art in Psychology and (BFA) Bachelor of Fine Art. My two degrees allowed me to hybridize both my analytical mind and my creative drive. Isee myself as a good generalist and am looking to grow within a company under strong mentorship. I hold myself to high standards of work, thrive in a fast pace intellectual environment and I am passionate about inspiring others. Proficient use of Microsoft programs, Photoshop, Premiere, AfterEffects, Zbrush, Maya and Blender. I love to learn and have found many of my skill transferable to new programs.
As the first one in my family to complete postsecondary school, one of my proudest accomplishments is graduating on the Dean’s Honours list for both degrees at university as well as completing an optional thesis for each. I am a hungry ambitious learner. I held several leadership roles during my studies, and was able to manage multiple projects at a time. I love to be challenged and learn new things. I am interested in a position that is creatively and mentally challenging. My degree in Psychology allowed me to learn how to effectively research and sift through information, create connections and see potential biases. At the university I worked in a child neuro developmental lab and studied a wide range of topics and often found these conceptsslipping into my art practice.
To contrast, my Fine Art degree provided a wide range of artisticskills; give and receive constructive criticism, effective composition, an eye for natural motion as well as an understanding for overall flow ofconcept. At the University of Waterloo, I wasinvolved in multiple leadership positionsthroughout my undergraduate degree. First as the Society of Fine Arts VP, and then elected as President. I learned how to lead groups of my peersto successfully complete several community events; budget proposals, networking events and curated art galleries. I am an innovative creative thinker who excels with leadership responsibilities. I am a quick learner and I enjoy creating friendly professional relationships with my co-workers. I believe my ability to manage multiple projects, my fast learning curve and my self-leadership style will allow me to be a great asset to your environment.
